English_description:

A verb of continuative/durative action. It is generally not recommended to fill in the slot with the inchoative verb ‘to lie down’, although such practice is rather frequent (and, in truth, both notions are quite commonly expressed with the same root). Should be strictly separated from lying in particular postures (‘lie on one’s side’, ‘lie face down’ etc.). Cf. similar requirements for No.75 ‘to sit’, No.80 ‘to stand’. NB: this entry does not mean ‘to speak untruthfully’!

Russian_description:

Глагол состояния; не рекомендуется подменять инхоативным глаголом ‘ложиться’, хотя подобного рода практика существует (на самом деле, оба понятия часто выражаются одним и тем же корнем). Строго отличать от лежания в конкретных позах (‘лежать на боку’, ‘лежать ничком’ и т. п.). Ср. аналогичные требования для №75 ‘сидеть’, №80 ‘стоять’.
